Digital Content Creator

We are a high-octane team of story finders and storytellers, looking to deepen our bench with a key player in the digital content realm. Our ideal teammate understands and embraces the vast array of opportunities to connect with different audiences across social media, website and email platforms, and has a proven ability to plan and produce optimized short-form video, static, and written content unique to each platform.

The digital world changes by the minute, and our new teammate will demonstrate initiative to stay ahead of trends and preferences, both platform- and audience-specific. This person loves the study of humans and thinks strategically, seeking new ways to add value and deepen connection through content.

And speaking of connection, our new teammate is energized by collaboration, working closely with teams across the agency to ensure all content decisions support and further overarching business, brand, and campaign goals.

This position requires some travel to find and tell stories from areas across the state, so the ideal teammate will love to experience new places, faces, and spaces – and share their stories with others through video, visuals and copy.

What You’ll Do:

  • Develop, produce, and edit captivating short-form video content optimized for social media platforms (e.g., Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, etc.)
  • Use actionable insights from platform data to optimize content performance and achieve KPIs
  • Capture and manage a wide range of authentic visual assets, both static and video, for use on social media channels
  • Collaborate to develop new and innovative ways to tell stories across existing and emerging social platforms 
  • Stay up-to-date with video trends, techniques, and industry best practices to continually enhance content quality and audience engagement
  • Regularly contribute to creative and strategic brainstorms with a storytelling focus to develop and create seamlessly executable, quick-turn content within timeline and budget parameters 
  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment and meet all deadlines
  • Ensure quality of content and that all work meets the highest standards 
  • Work cross-functionally with account management, project management, strategy, content, production, media and creative teams 
  • Produce and edit engaging and SEO-friendly website content, including landing pages and blog posts
  • Conduct content audits and updates to maintain relevancy and accuracy.
  • Contribute to email planning and writing
  • Up to 40% travel required

What We’re Looking For:

  • 3-5 years of experience with a strong portfolio showcasing content creation across social and digital platforms
  • Proficiency in video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro) and graphic design tools (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Canva)
  • Experience using social platform-native editing and creation tools (TikTok, Instagram, CapCut, etc.)
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills with a keen attention to detail
  • Thorough understanding of various social media platforms and their respective best practices
  • Familiarity with email marketing tools (e.g., Mailchimp, HubSpot) and experience in creating effective email campaigns
  • Basic knowledge of SEO principles and the ability to optimize content for search engines.
  • Adept at working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, with excellent time management skills
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving abilities
  • A passion for travel, outdoors and food & beverage content (to name a few) is strongly preferred
  • Must live in NC due to travel logistics
