PR Senior Account Executive

A demonstrated account leader, the PR Senior Account Executive works closely with leadership to define client goals and strategies, then create and execute multi-faced PR and marketing plans in collaboration with other team members and agency disciplines. They have established relationships with media, influencers, and business/community leaders, and understand resource allocation while meeting deadlines efficiently. Strategic, creative, and resourceful, the PR Senior Account Executive has exceptional planning and writing skills and is an excellent problem solver who can drive creative campaign concepts while ensuring all account activities are results-oriented and goal-focused.

What You’ll Do:

  • Serves as the client lead on smaller accounts or well-defined projects for larger clients. Assists with client onboarding and provides strategic counsel in collaboration with leadership. Provides regular updates and reports to clients on campaign progress and results.
  • Collaborates with team members in establishing PR and communication strategies based on client needs, goals, and budget.
  • Researches and drafts press releases, fact sheets, backgrounders, feature stories, bios and other materials, with editorial oversight from senior team members as appropriate.
  • Anticipates client needs and proactively addresses any issues or concerns by brainstorming and implementing ideas to overcome challenges while strategically building brand awareness and achieving PR/marketing goals.
  • Cultivates and maintains relationships with journalists, bloggers, and influencers across relevant industries; pitches story ideas, press releases and other content to media contacts to secure coverage for clients.
  • Monitors media coverage and industry trends to identify opportunities and potential challenges.
  • Ensures all content is accurate, engaging, and consistent with brand voice and style guidelines.
  • Collaborates effectively with colleagues across departments to ensure success of integrated campaigns and messaging.

What We’re Looking For:

  • 3-5 years professional experience in PR, marketing, communications, or journalism (agency experience highly preferred)
  • Bachelor’s degree in PR, marketing, communications, journalism, or related field
  • Proven track record of successfully managing client accounts and delivering measurable results
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills with the ability to craft compelling narratives and pitches
  • Demonstrated media placement skills supported by a keen understanding of traditional and social media
  • Strong organizational, project and time management skills with a high level of attention to detail and resourcefulness
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport easily with clients, media contacts and colleagues.
  • Familiarity with PR management software and media monitoring and analysis tools
  • Some overnight travel may be required (less than 20%)
