Digital Production Manager

The Digital Production Manager is responsible for supporting the internal digital-focused talent and resources, as well as managing external relationships with suppliers and partners in the successful delivery of projects within the digital ecosystem. The Digital Production Manager will leverage knowledge in digital design processes and modern web technologies to effectively communicate with internal team members and external vendors to properly manage digital projects. The Digital Production Manager will support a project team in providing the structure for assigned digital projects and is responsible for helping assist Account and Project Managers in the day-to-day management of digital project workflows. The Digital Production Manager will be responsible for working with a team to develop detailed project plans to ensure successful design, development and execution of digital assets, including, but not limited to, websites, email activation and interactive media assets.

What You’ll Do:

Project planning

  • Collaborate with internal cross-functional teams including Client Service, Project Management, Creative, Media and PR
  • Help define the scope of work for digital projects such as website and email marketing  including SOW development and level of effort hours allocation
  • Determine appropriate financial and talent resources required to complete digital projects
  • Help determine project plans for digital projects to include timelines and set milestones, and how resources will be allocated across those projects
  • Help provide technical requirements when developing website and email marketing scopes of work as necessary
  • Identify third-party suppliers/specialists when required

Run digital-focused projects

  • Help coordinate activities of digital resources working with the Account and Project Manager
  • Help maintain project schedules working with the Account and Project Manager to ensure smooth transition of digital projects through strategy, design, development and implementation
  • Prepare accurate status reports for digital-focused deliverables
  • Manage third-party suppliers/specialists when required
  • Monitor budget and provide budget reporting against approved scope/level of effort
  • Manage changes in project scope with Account Manager and suppliers
  • Ability to identify problems and/or risks and develop potential solutions
  • Execute or coordinate the execution of CMS-related activities including training, asset collection and data entry
  • Provide recommendations on how to enhance the digital experience including graphic design and rich media content (video, audio, 3D, HTML5, flash animation)
  • Seek opportunities for improvement of deliverables

Technical planning & implementation

  • Provide insight and recommendations for project planning   
  • Identify functional requirements and technical environment for digital experience
  • Provide foundational troubleshooting guidance for content management systems (CMS) and email service providers (ESP)

What We’re Looking For:

Education/Experience:

  • College degree preferred or equivalent experience
  • 3-5 years of experience in a digital producer or project management role
  • Proven work experience as a digital producer or project manager with knowledge of web technologies, web development processes, email marketing and digital media tactics
  • Agency experience preferred

Specific education, skills, knowledge and abilities required and/or preferred:

  • Solid technical background with an ability to address accessibility and compatibility issues
  • Familiarity with content management systems (CMS) and HTML/CSS
  • General understanding of email service providers (ESPs)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organization and time management skills
  • Strong team management skills
  • Willingness to research, learn and take ownership of new programs and services
  • General understanding of SEO and Google Analytics
  • Familiarity with domain registrars and setup a plus
  • Must be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
