Luquire claims Best of Show, 7 Other AAF District 3 Awards

In a time where it feels like good news is hard to come by, we’re thrilled to be celebrating a very successful showing at the AAF District 3 Awards. Multiple Luquire campaigns claimed top honors over other local chapter winners throughout North Carolina, South Carolina and Virginia.

The “Dog Travel Agent” campaign for Visit North Carolina was named top dog – also known as Best in Show – over all competitors. The work also won a Gold award in the Online/Interactive category and a Silver award in the Cross Platform segment.

Coming off the local Best in Show title from the Charlotte awards, “If Your Walls Could Talk,” developed for longtime Luquire client National Gypsum Company’s PURPLE® drywall, claimed a Judge’s Choice award in the Online/Interactive category and Gold awards in Elements of Advertising and Online/Interactive.

Bojangles’ “All-Star Biscuit Makers” also won Gold in the Out of Home category, and Tire Pros’ “Flat Tire Event” earned a Silver award for Online/Interactive.

The American Advertising Awards is the advertising industry’s largest and most representative competition, aimed at recognizing and rewarding the creative spirit of excellence in the art of advertising. All four campaigns will all advance to the national competition, slated for June 7.

AAF District 3 brought in three top-tier creatives to judge this year’s competition: Mychael Metcalf, creative director at GTB in Detroit; Kris Poore, chief creative director at IDG Group Branding in Pensacola, Florida; and Jason Yates, a freelance creative director, art director and editor from Buffalo, New York.
