Luquire Wins 18 Charlotte 2018 American Advertising Awards

Luquire George Andrews (Luquire) picked up four Gold and 13 Silver Awards, plus a Best of Print Ad, at the Charlotte AAF 2018 American Advertising Awards Gala last night. With the 18 wins, Luquire was the most-awarded agency of the evening. Recent creative work developed for Visit North Carolina, Simpson Performance Products, National Gypsum, BB&T and Coca-Cola Consolidated was recognized.

The Visit North Carolina “Firsts That Last” campaign picked up the most awards of any other campaign with nine total, including:

  • Gold in Print Advertising – Magazine Ad Spread, Single Unit;
  • Gold in Film, Video, Sound – In-Theater Commercial or Slide;
  • Gold in Film, Video, Sound – Branded Content;
  • Silver in Print Advertising – Magazine Ad Spread, Single Unit;
  • Silver in Print Advertising – Magazine Advertising Campaign;
  • Two Silvers in Film, Video, Sound – Branded Content; and
  • Silver in Cross Platform – Integrated Advertising Campaign.

Firsts That Last also picked up a special award for the Best in Show Print Ad for the Jazmene and Peyton magazine spread. Luquire and Visit North Carolina also won a Gold Award in the Cross Platform – Integrated Media Public Service Campaign for #CAREolinas.

Luquire work with Simpson Performance Products picked up four Silver Awards, including one in Print Advertising – Magazine Ad Full Page or Less, Single Unit; one in Print Advertising – Magazine Ad Spread, Single Unit; and two in Print Advertising – Magazine Advertising Campaign.

National Gypsum work was honored with two Silver Awards for Print Advertising – Magazine Ad Full Page or Less and Print Advertising – Magazine Advertising Campaign.

BB&T’s Check Battle won a Silver Award in the Film, Video, Sound – Television Advertising category, and Coca-Cola Consolidated’s The Table Is Set program won Silver in Cross Platform – Integrated Advertising Campaign.
