Organic Grocer Earth Fare Selects Luquire to Spearhead Public Relations and Social Media Efforts

Win continues impressive run for fast-growing integrated agency built for the “uncomfortably ambitious”

Luquire, the integrated marketing agency for uncomfortably ambitious brands, has been tapped by Earth Fare, one of the nation’s leading natural and organic grocery chains, to support its public relations efforts as it prepares to mark a half-century of providing clean, healthy foods to discerning shoppers.

Founded in Asheville, North Carolina, in 1975, Earth Fare is a standout in the industry for its rigorous Food Philosophy and Boot List, a list of more than 100 chemicals and additives that customers can trust will not be included in any product found on its shelves. The brand also empowers shoppers to make healthier food choices through its free Fresh Forum webinar series, which explores a different nutrition-based topic each month.

Earth Fare is the latest brand to entrust its public relations and marketing efforts to Luquire, following Elon University, OrthoCarolina, Whistle Express Car Wash and many others. Other recent new client relationships include Nucor, Experience Columbus and Simon Property Group. The 39-year-old independent agency saw more than 40% revenue growth in 2022, and this year is on pace to be its best year ever.

With nearly 20 locations across the Southeast and Midwest, Earth Fare has developed a loyal following for its commitment to transparency and for providing clean, healthy foods at accessible prices. Luquire has been entrusted to help amplify the brand through a variety of communications initiatives, including corporate announcements, local community engagement executions, partnership activations and more.

“For nearly 50 years, shoppers have turned to Earth Fare to provide their families with the highest-quality natural and organic groceries and household products available,” said Laurie Aker, director of marketing at Earth Fare. “We are thrilled to entrust Luquire with this legacy and are excited to see what we will accomplish as our partnership develops.”

After closing briefly in 2020, Earth Fare locations reopened select locations under Hulsing Enterprises and its president and CEO, Dennis Hulsing. With 18 locations from Florida to Ohio, the full-service grocer is differentiated by its Food Philosophy, which prohibits the sale of any product containing artificial fats, trans fats, colors, preservatives and sweeteners; added hormones; antibiotics; high-fructose corn syrup; and bleached or bromated flour.

“Earth Fare’s uncomfortably ambitious mission of empowering shoppers to take control of what is on their plates though education and awareness is so inspiring to us,” said Barry Finkelstein, Luquire senior vice president and director of public relations. “We are honored to have the opportunity to amplify its efforts as it moves into its next era of positively influencing shoppers’ health through their food choices.”
