Three LGA campaigns honored at Queen City PR Awards

What do PURPLE drywall, Lance sandwich crackers and Snyders of Hanover pretzels have in common? They aren’t all edible; they aren’t the same color; and they vary in price. But all three brands recently earned recognition for outstanding public relations campaigns by LGA at the Charlotte Chapter of the Public Relations Society of Americas Queen City PR Awards.

“Creating campaigns and PR programs that achieve or exceed our client’s goals is always our first priority,” said Barry Finkelstein, senior vice president and director of PR at LGA. “Beyond that, it’s very rewarding to be recognized by our peers in the public relations profession for doing outstanding work.”

In an unusual twist, both the National Gypsum Ask for PURPLE campaign and Snyders of Hanover National Pretzel Day campaign were named finalists for the integrated communications category. Tension filled the room as the emcee for the event, WBTV’s Kristen Miranda, announced that BOTH programs received the coveted Crown Award, which recognizes excellence in planning and executing communications campaigns with exemplary professional skill, creativity and resourcefulness.

LGA also received an Award of Excellence for its National Sandwich Day campaign for Lance sandwich crackers in the digital / social category. Representatives from all three brands were on hand to help the LGA team celebrate their shared accomplishments.
