40 years of experience and we’re still turning heads.

Luquire selected as PR partner for 2025 PGA Championship

The partnership marks the second time the PGA and Luquire have worked together on a major championship in Charlotte.

“We underwent a comprehensive RFP process with multiple agencies across the Charlotte region, and, ultimately, Luquire’s deep understanding of the sport coupled with its history with Quail Hollow and breadth of communications experience across other large-scale tournaments, including the 2017 PGA Championship, made Luquire the clear choice to serve as our PR partner heading into 2025.”

The PGA of America selected Luquire as its regional public relations partner for the 2025 PGA Championship at Quail Hollow Club. We served as the PGA’s regional communications partner during the storied major’s 99th playing – its first at Quail Hollow – in 2017, and are more than ready for another win with this awesome, ambitious partner.

Luquire will work with the PGA of America to help amplify awareness and elevate the championship among key stakeholders across local and regional markets leading up to the 2025 major. And preparation for the 2025 Championship – which will take place May 15-18, 2025 – is well underway, with hospitality inventory selling quickly and ticket registration set to open to the public on March 26. More information on hospitality, tickets and volunteer opportunities for the 2025 event can be found here.

“We underwent a comprehensive RFP process with multiple agencies across the Charlotte region, and, ultimately, Luquire’s deep understanding of the sport coupled with its history with Quail Hollow and breadth of communications experience across other large-scale tournaments, including the 2017 PGA Championship, made Luquire the clear choice to serve as our PR partner heading into 2025,” said Jason Soucy, championship director of the 2025 PGA Championship.

The 2017 PGA Championship at Quail Hollow remains one of the most iconic majors to date, with the grounds of Quail proving to be a worthy adversary. That year, only 12 players finished under par, with Justin Thomas, the son and grandson of PGA Professionals, securing the first major championship of his career. The tournament is best remembered for Thomas’ electric back-nine surge, complete with an 8-foot-birdie putt on No. 10, a 40-foot greenside chip at 13, and a successful 15-foot birdie putt on No. 17 to clinch the Wanamaker Trophy.

“Serving as a partner of the PGA for the 2025 Championship is both a tremendous honor and a collaboration that we see as part of our Luquire DNA, as we have been privileged to play a role in almost every major sporting event in the Charlotte region over the past four decades,” said Luquire CEO Brooks Luquire. “Under the collective leadership of the PGA and Quail Hollow Club, we are already seeing the 2025 Championship take shape here in Charlotte, and we cannot wait for all to come as this major continues to come to life.”
